Abstrakt

Tragus racemosus, an alien species to the Czech flora, was not recorded for more than 70 years in the Czech Republic. In 2016 and 2017, the species was newly found at three localities along the D1, D2 and D35 motorways in the eastern part of tzhe Czech Republic (Moravia). It is assumed that Tragus racemosus was introduced to the Czech motorways with international traffic from south-eastern Europe, but this assumption is based solely on the geographical pattern of the localities known. The seeds might also have been introduced with gravel or other material during construction works in the motorway network.
