Central Moravia is the only region in the Czech Republic where Gagea bohemica subsp. saxatilis occurs. According to satellite maps, herbarium and literature revision this taxon was searched at suitable localities. Presently we report two sites where Gagea bohemica subsp. saxatilis was found in this region (Křéb near Senička and vicinity of Náměšť na Hané) including notes on their history. We also correct a record of Gagea bohemica subsp. bohemica found near the village of Senička, which is based on an incorrectly interpreted herbarium specimen. Using flow cytometry we confirm the tetraploid cytotype for plants of the two localities, which is unique for Gagea bohemica s.l. in the Czech Republic.
