Boreální mech Calliergon megalophyllum Mik. byl poprvé popsán z Čech

Velenovský (1903) described the moss Hypnum moldavicum Velen, from the village of Štěchovice (central Bohemia). The type specimen is identical with the species known in literature as Calliergon megalophyllum Mik. The name H. moldavicum Velen, represents the oldest name for this species, the locality is the only one known in central Europe.
