During a revision of František Maloch’s collection of lichens from the Brdy Highlands (Western and Central Bohemia, Czech Republic) four new species for this area, currently very rare in the Czech Republic, were found – Melanohalea olivacea, Peltigera collina, Pertusaria ophthalmiza, and Stereocaulon tomentosum. Maloch’s collection dates from the early 20th century and is deposited in the herbarium of the West Bohemian Museum in Pilsen (PL). The above-mentioned species have probably disappeared mainly due to air pollution and are briefly commented on.
