Josef Holub Award
Since 2014, the Steering Committee has annually awarded a prize named after distinct plant taxonomist and former chairman of the Society Dr. Josef Holub (1930–1999). The prize is awarded to young botanists not older than 30 years for their papers published in the journals of the Society (i.e. Preslia, Bryonora, or Reports of the Czech Botanical Society).

Czech Botanical Society
The Czech Botanical Society is a voluntary non-profit organization associating those interested in all fields of botany, both professionals and amateurs. The CBS holds lectures, field courses and excursions. Activities of the Society also include publishing of botanical literature, mainly journals or reports.
